The build list: What MSPs are actually automating with Rewst and NinjaOne

Every MSP has run the same experiment. You automate something at the endpoint, it works beautifully, and then you notice the work didn't actually end. Someone still has to update the ticket, correct the documentation, reconcile the device count before invoicing, and confirm to the client that the thing is done.

The script finished. The process didn't.

That’s where connecting endpoint automation to the rest of your stack really matters. NinjaOne handles the work at the endpoint. Rewst orchestrates the process across your PSA, identity provider, documentation, billing, and other systems—and writes the result back where your team needs to see it.

This session is a build-along, not a pitch. Several MSPs who run both platforms will share their screens and walk through the automations they actually use. We’ll start with the foundational automations that deliver quick returns, then move into custom workflows they created to solve problems in their own businesses, including a few you may not have considered automating.

You'll leave with a prioritized build list: what to automate first, what to tackle next, and just as importantly, what probably shouldn’t be automated at all.

What we cover:

  • Which automations to build first, based on what actually delivers the fastest returns.

  • How the handoff between your RMM and everything downstream breaks, and what it's quietly costing you in rework and inaccurate invoices

  • What good alert hygiene looks like when tickets are created, enriched, routed, and closed without unnecessary technician intervention.

  • How other MSPs turn device onboarding from a series of disconnected steps into one coordinated and consistent process.

  • Workflows MSPs have built for problems you may not have considered automating.

Meet the speakers

Brandon, Noah, and Ryan all run Rewst and NinjaOne together, and all three build their own automations. That's the whole reason they're here.

Each will walkthrough automations from their own environment: first the automation they'd tell any MSP to build first, then something custom they built for their own shop that most people don't realize is possible. Three different shops, three different answers to "what should I automate first.”

George Smith from Rewst and Jonathan Crowe from NinjaOne both spend their days in their respective communities, which is how this session came together in the first place. MSPs asked for it. They'll keep the introductions short, keep the questions moving, and otherwise stay out of the way.

Check out this quick example of how NinjaOne and Rewst work together.

Ryan Sheidow from Mainstay Technologies built a workflow in Rewst that integrates ConnectWise Manage for ticketing and NinjaOne for script execution and device organization. This Rewst workflow automates the full process from a single form submission.
